Narrative Porcelain Teapots

I began exploring Narrative in clay in 2005 after my daughter Heidi was born. The teapot has become a canvas to tell childhood stories. At the same time each vessel conveys a tacit message of an imaginary world in which we can all recognize ourselves. Like a page from a children’s book the gesture between a little girl and her dog adorning a teapot encourages us to reflect upon innocent childlike experiences. I had wonderful childhood growing up on a broad acre wheat farm and I love to reflect on those precious early memories of a childhood consumed with play.
